The GVFHRA Professional Certifications Resource Group is here to help HR professionals prepare for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams with monthly content-focused meetings, peer support, resources and practical tools. Whether you're just starting or already scheduled to test, this group provides guidance, structure, and motivation to keep you on track.

SHRM Certification Scholarships (PA State Council at SHRM)
Two individuals striving to achieve SHRM Certified Professional or Senior Certified Professional certification(s) with the National SHRM organization - award is $1,000 each.
These applicants are required to submit proof of testing during the allotted window (1st Testing Window: 5/1/2026-7/15/2026, 2nd Testing Window: 12/1/2026-2/15/2027), and proof of a passing score.

2026 SHRM Certification exam schedule
- First Testing Window: May 1 – July 15, 2026
- Early Bird Application Deadline: March 30, 2026
- Standard Application Deadline: May 26, 2026
- Second Testing Window: Dec. 1, 2026 – Feb. 15, 2027
- Applications Accepted: From June 4, 2026
- Standard Application Deadline: Dec. 17, 2026
