SHRM Certifications Resource Group
Prepare for Your SHRM Certification with Support from GVF
The SHRM Greater Valley Forge Certification Resource Group supports HR professionals preparing for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. Whether you are exploring certification, beginning your preparation, or already scheduled to test, the group provides resources, guidance, peer support, and encouragement to help you stay on track.
The Resource Group is designed to complement your individual exam preparation. It is a support and resource-sharing group, not a formal certification preparation course.
Fall 2026 Resource Group
Our Fall Resource Group will support HR professionals preparing for SHRM’s winter testing window. Meetings will be held virtually from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month:
- Tuesday, September 1
- Tuesday, October 6
- Tuesday, November 3
- Tuesday, December 1
- Tuesday, January 5 (if needed, overlaps with Spring cohort)
Each meeting will provide an opportunity to ask questions, discuss preparation strategies, explore available study resources, and connect with other HR professionals preparing for certification. Please sign up for meetings on our website events page.
Winter Testing Window
The 2026–2027 winter testing window for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams is December 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027.
Applications will be accepted beginning June 4, 2026, with a standard application deadline of December 17, 2026.
Spring 2027 Resource Group
Our Spring Resource Group will support HR professionals preparing for SHRM’s spring/summer testing window. Meetings will be held virtually from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month:
- Tuesday, January 5
- Tuesday, February 2
- Tuesday, March 2
- Tuesday, April 6
- Tuesday, May 1
Spring/Summer Testing Window
SHRM has not yet published application or testing dates for the Spring/Summer 2027 SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams. For reference, the previous exam window ran from May 1, 2026 through July 15, 2026. This page will be updated once dates are available.
