The Career Management Roundtable is designed to support individuals who have been laid off or are navigating a job transition. Each session offers practical guidance, real-world strategies, and encouragement to help you stand out in today’s competitive job market.

What to Expect

Monthly sessions feature insights from experienced career and workforce professionals, along with occasional guest experts. Topics focus on job search strategy, market trends, positioning yourself effectively, and staying motivated during transition. Sessions are free and open to all, whether or not you are a GVFHRA member.

Our regular facilitators include:

Career Transition Support Guide 

Career transitions can be challenging, especially for HR professionals. GVFHRA offers resources, guidance, and connection to support members during times of change. You are not alone.

In-Transition Membership

If you are currently unemployed due to a layoff or downsizing from a human resources role, we offer a 6-month In-Transition Membership to help you stay connected and continue your professional growth. 

Guidelines for membership:

  • Not affiliated with another local HR/SHRM chapter 
  • SHRM National Members are asked to align membership with GVFHRA (we're happy to provide a coupon code upon membership request)
  • Intended for individuals pursuing a full-time, internal HR role

Financial Assistance for Members
