GVFHRA Installs New Officers at Annual Meeting The Greater Valley Forge Human Resources Association membership wrapped up its year by installing new officers at its annual meeting May 15 at the Sheraton Park Ridge in King of Prussia.
The slate for 2007-2008 is: * President - Lynn Kester of Green Lane, who works for Tyndal Co. in Pipersville. Kester was GVFHRA president-elect and board/chair of the professional development committee.
* President-elect - Sharon Crandall of Wayne, who works for Magellan Search Group in Plymouth Meeting. She served as secretary for the past two years and was a 2006 HR Person of the Year. * Past president - Andrea Cabrelli of Wayne, who works for HR Impact in ,Newtown Square. Cabrelli previously served as president, president-elect, and program committee co-chair. * Treasurer - David Benglian of Wynnewood, who works for St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He previously was chair of program sponsorship and the resource bureau. * Secretary - Carol Hampson of Telford, who works at DeVry University in Fort Washington. Hampson was co-chair of the ambassador and hospitality committees. Also at the May 15 meeting, board member Bruce Zanar of Royersford, founder and principal of Motivational Marketing, was given the President's Award for Distinguished Leadership; Cabrelli was honored for her service and leadership over the past year; and Vikki Dycus of Lincoln University, Pa., was recognized for her 18 years as chapter administrator. Dycus will retire at the end of June. Keynote speaker was Clare Novak, author of “Never Rule Without a Magician, a Sage and a Fool.”
The Greater Valley Forge Human Resource Association Inc. is a nonprofit, individual membership association for human resource management professionals. Serving more than 500 members from companies in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania, as well as from New Jersey and Delaware, GVFHRA provides leadership, motivation, and education through chapter activities and affiliation with the Society of Human Resource Management.
